Rapidly after receiving his undergraduate diploma, the composer was invited to develop his skills at the Russian Gnesin's Academy of Music, in Moscow. Omar would study in Russia for 7 years, until 2007.
Professors Kirill Volkov and Gennady Chernov were his teachers. The first was assistant of the genial Aram Khachaturian at the same Academy and the second, pupil of Sergey Prokofiev and Oleg Eiges also at the Gnesin's Academy.
Omar was surprised by the high level of education and astonished with the possibility of receiving knowledge directly from the very best musical "fountain" of the XX century: the Soviet Symphonic School.
In November 2017, Omar was awarded two prizes at the Composers Competition which took place at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He got the second place in the final round and a special prize of the Organizing Comittee for his Sonata No. 1 for Violoncello and Piano. Fadul has also gotten two other prizes, in 2018, at another competition for Composers, at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, including a full concert with his works at the Conservatory, for his Quartet No.1 for Violoncelli.
The Danish School
In 2006 and 2007, in Denmark, Omar had the honor and pleasure of attending classes under pianist, Professor José Ribera, who is a pupil of Alfred Cortot and a magnificent teacher and pianist. Professor Ribera had great influence on Fadul's musical understanding and interpretation.
